AOS/90 Continuous Operation Mug
Standard departmental vessel for long-running processes, overnight maintenance and matters that remain unresolved across successive hardware generations.
Inspired by early-1980s Swedish computing reports, the design combines archival green, warm ivory and terminal-network illustrations with the gold institutional emblem of Nova Aetheris.
Legacy VAX terminals connect to the Quantum Compute Module through an infrastructure that has been ported, revised and repeatedly declared temporary.
The operating environment has changed.
The institutional memory has not.
THE HARDWARE HAS BEEN REPLACED.
THE CASE REMAINS OPEN.
A small floppy disk remains in the diagram. Its interface survived the migration. The software required to use it did not.
